Jeremy Blake Blevins, age 42, of Fort Mill, South Carolina passed away on August 3, 2013 after a courageous battle with oral cancer.

A native of Chilhowie, Virginia, he was preceded in death by his father, William Roy Blevins and is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shelley Ball Blevins and his two children: Bise Kegley Blevins and Lettie Sophia Blevins of Fort Mill, South Carolina; his mother Betty Tuell Blevins of Chilhowie, Virginia; his brother and sister-in-law, Jared and Halsey Blevins of Johns Island, South Carolina; parents-in-law Tamara and Arlin Ball of Houston, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jeremy was a dedicated runner, father, husband, coach, friend, and neighbor. He loved baseball and sitting on his front porch. He brought a welcoming, infectious sense of humor to any situation, but he will be remembered most for the way he always put his family first, his unfailing strength, and the selfless love and support he showed for the people in his life. Jeremy also had very special family at Wells Fargo Securities that he adored.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, August 5 from 6 to 8 PM at Unity Presbyterian Church, 303 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, SC. A celebration of Jeremy’s life will be conducted at Unity Presbyterian Church on Tuesday morning, August 6 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Jeremy be remembered by gifts to the Oral Cancer Foundation.
